Startup Alleghenies presents the 2022 Explore! Entrepreneurship Summit. This special event gives seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs a tremendous opportunity to engage with other entrepreneurs and hear from local and national experts. If you have questions about growing a business in the outdoor recreation industry, this is the ideal time to get answers and shape your plan. Join us at River Mountain in Bedford, PA. over the course of two days and learn what’s involved, how to get started, and what business opportunities exist.
Sunday, May 15: Listen to keynote speaker, Joe Veneto. Meet local entrepreneurs, explore local businesses, and learn the ins and outs of starting an outdoor recreational business. Learn how to capitalize on experiential tourism in the region. End the day networking with attendees and entrepreneurial mentors.
Monday, May 16: Learn where our 2022 needs analysis indicates specific opportunities in the region for new outdoor recreation and supporting businesses. Plus, an expert panel will answer questions on how to get started or to take your existing outdoor recreation business to the next level.

His content-rich programs provide insights, as well as innovative ideas that make him one of the industry’s most-requested experts on Tourism Product Development and Experiential Tourism.
As our keynote speaker, Joe will bring the Explore! theme to life as he shares his expertise in tourism development. He will focus on outdoor and recreation business and how tourism is supported through experiential entrepreneurship. Monday, he will share the results of his work to analyze the region and identify commercial gaps. Joe will share prime business opportunities awaiting entrepreneurs in the Alleghenies.

Advanced registration for the event is required. No walk-ins will be allowed the day of the event.

Registration: Advanced registration is required. The deadline to register is May 1, 2022. Due to the venue size, the event is limited to the first 90 registrants.
Overnight accommodations: Commute or choose from the following accommodations. Registrants are responsible for booking their own overnight accommodations. We recommend that you book early.
