Saint Francis SBDC helps launch businesses in the Alleghenies

Saint Francis Small Business Development Center, a critical partner to Startup Alleghenies, helps businesses in the region start, grow and prosper. “Our goal is to help people launch their business and get on the right path to becoming successful while guiding them every step of the way.”

Confidential meetings allow the entrepreneur to get one-on-one advice to help propel their business. Whether the business is already established or in its infancy of business plan development, Saint Francis SBDC is there to help. The team provides consultants for entrepreneurs in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset counties. 

“The Small Business Development Center at St Francis is a tremendous partner in our Startup Alleghenies Mission. So many of the entrepreneurs working with our coaches have also benefitted from the SBDC’s talent and expertise. It is great to have them on our team,” said Debbi Prosser, Director of Business Development for the Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission.

“All types of businesses require this type of support, and we offer it right here in our community,” said SBDC Director Jeff Boldizar.“We want to improve the overall entrepreneurial climate in our region.
