Denmark-based drone and robotics leader chooses Johnstown for its first U.S. production facility

Denmark-based UXV Technologies, a leader in unmanned systems and advanced robotics, officially opened its new 7,000-square-foot facility in Johnstown in the JARI Business Park—its first production facility in the United States. This development marks a significant milestone for both the company and the local community, bringing new employment opportunities in an innovative industry. The facility is expected to create 15 new jobs.

In response to the company’s increasing customer demand, UXV Technologies chose
Johnstown for the city’s skilled workforce, unique industry ecosystem, and supportive business environment.

DCED Secretary Rick Siger was on hand for the opening ceremony, along with representatives from city and county government and JARI. “I’m thrilled that another strong global company like UXV Technologies has selected Pennsylvania as the home of its first U.S. production facility,” he said.
