Offering small businesses a Piece of Mind

In 2013, I left the ad agency where I worked as a copywriter to begin freelancing. My husband was a huge inspiration to go out on my own,” Rebecca Ghantous said. “In 2017, I also had a business partner who encouraged me to take another leap, so we started the LLC together.” Eventually, her partner decided it was best to pursue her full-time career and they agreed Rebecca would continue to carry on Piece of Mind.

“I have always believed in what I was doing and saw a need for small businesses to have a marketing partner that they can trust”

During this transition, Rebecca began working with Somerset County’s Startup Alleghenies Coach Matt Reckner. “He helped me navigate that process,” she said. “While my business was well established at the time, he helped me to refine my business plan and legal contracts. Even after working together initially, he continued to refer me to others and keep me abreast of local opportunities for grants or otherwise.”

Rebecca’s biggest asset throughout her journey has been her belief in herself and her ability to make a difference for other businesses. “I have always believed in what I was doing and saw a need for small businesses to have a marketing partner that they can trust,” she said. “Piece of Mind is a full-service marketing agency. I become an extension of the business I am working with and provide them with services tailored to their needs. This includes digital marketing, website design, print design, public relations, copywriting, event planning, trade show planning, social media management, blog writing, photography, videography, and more.”

As her business grows, Rebecca would like to pay forward the opportunity to new generations of talent. “I plan to continue working with small businesses to help them grow. As Piece of Mind grows, I hope to work with local students looking for freelance design or marketing opportunities,” she said. “I will help them grow their portfolios as they gain experience and, in turn, provide my clients with fresh ideas from new designers.”
