BCDA jumpstarting economic development, preserving rich heritage and natural resources
A key partner to Startup Alleghenies, the Bedford County Development Association (BCDA) is the first stop for businesses who want to make their home in Bedford County, or who are already thriving there and want to expand.
In recent years, with the assistance of federal and state legislators, BCDA staff has secured more than $30 million in grants or loans for projects that have provided employment for thousands of workers in the county.
The county is home to world-class manufacturers, including CaptiveAire, JLG and Kennametal, and BCDA is working to advance and encourage further industry and commercial development of trade in the county.

BCDA President Bette Slayton added that the partnership with Startup Alleghenies has expanded their reach.
